The Orthodox Metropolitanate of Hong Kong was founded with the decision of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople in 1996 after being detached from the Orthodox Metropolitanate of New Zealand. In the same year it was recognized by the Government of Hong Kong.
The Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Sunday, March 05, 2023 (Sunday of Orthodoxy) at Saint Luke Orthodox Cathedral in Hong Kong.
The Divine Liturgy will be streamed live online via Saint Luke Orthodox Cathedral Hong Kong Facebook page on Sunday at 10.00 am.
The Orthodox Metropolitanate of Hong Kong and Southeast Asia carries out missionary work offering the testimony of the Orthodox faith, supporting the Orthodox Christians, foreigners and locals, who live in South East Asia, and presents dynamic activation on the fields of the social welfare, health and education.
