The Orthodox Metropolitanate of Hong Kong was founded with the decision of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople in 1996 after being detached from the Orthodox Metropolitanate of New Zealand. In the same year it was recognized by the Government of Hong Kong.

Unfortunately, the air conditioner and the damages are not fixed yet. Due to this very difficult situation the Divine Liturgy will not be celebrated until further notice.

Dear Parishioners of Saint Luke Cathedral in Hong Kong,

A water-feeder air-conditioning pipe burst causing major flooding to the premises of Saint Luke Cathedral. Unfortunately extensive damage was caused to the premises and there is no air conditioning.

Soon we will humbly request your help and support. 

Due to this very difficult situation the Divine Liturgy will not be celebrated until further notice.
