On Wednesday evening, October 22nd, Metropolitan Nektarios of Hong Kong and South East Asia delivered the first Homily on the Holy Eucharist.

He offered a detailed presentation on the development of the Christian Worship. Metropolitan Nektarios concluding his homily said: “Worship is ecclesiastic, when it preserves its supernatural and spiritual character and when liberates Man, thence leading him into the perfect knowledge of God; however, its purpose is not to bring heaven down to earth, but to elevate Man and the world, towards the heavens”.

The second homily on the Holy Eucharist will be scheduled on the first days of November.
