Ecumenical Patriarchate
Orthodox Metropolitanate of Hong Kong and South East Asia
Communiqué
The Orthodox Metropolitanate of Hong Kong and South East Asia has been informed that certain people try to deceive Orthodox Christians who reside in Los Bagnos, Pasay City and Paranaque (Philippines) and invite them to attend the Divine Liturgy at their non canonical “Orthodox churches”.
The Orthodox Metropolitanate informs all the Orthodox faithful that the so called “Sts Peter and Paul Orthodox Mission (Russian)” at Maricaban, Pasay City and the so called “Holy Cross Orthodox Church” in Siniloan, Laguna, are not Canonical Orthodox Churches. The people who invite the Orthodox faithful to the aforementioned places try to deceive them.
Beware of disinformation, false and fabricated news, and false pastors deceiving people. As Apostle Paul says, “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)
The Orthodox Metropolitanate of Hong Kong and South East Asia, faithful to its mission and the tradition that it received from the Ecumenical Patriarchate, will continue its missionary work, safeguarding the Orthodox faith and order, and praying for the repentance and return of those who, through their uncanonical actions, tear apart the robe of unity of the Body of Christ.
